Who is Annapolis Costumes

Annapolis Costumes a division of Annapolis Opera Inc., offers costumes from past opera productions to other theatrical organizations, schools and individuals.  All our rental costumes are made in—house.  As a non profit organization we understand the need to customize rentals to satisfy desires, requirements and budget.  Institutional rentals continue as a major influence but of growing importance is the discriminating individual renting for parties and social events.  We hope to offer you a "difference" on a budget, making that special occasion memorable.

Annapolis Costumes is a small production organization with one Costume Designer.  With her many years experience she seeks to enhance a character's persona through the way that character is dressed and at the same time ensure that the designs allow movement in a manner consistent with the historical period.  Specifically she is responsible for;
  • study scripts
  • discuss ideas with the Annapolis Opera Artistic Director
  • create costume ideas to fit the production’s design concept and budget
  • research suitable costume styles, fabrics and designs
  • managing the costume/wardrobe budget
  • fitting, altering and adapting costumes
  • cleaning, ironing and mending
  • making sure that wardrobe items are available at the right time
  • managing continuity of costumes
  • meet and work with clients to discuss their needs and offer solutions within budget.
